How this literature search works

On each selection, Crossref is queried for journal records from 1900-01-01 through today (UTC). Up to 200 relevance-ranked candidates are keyword-screened by title; the newest eight matches are displayed by publication date. This date window does not imply exhaustive historical coverage; abstracts and full texts are not assessed.

Results are cached for 30 minutes. If live lookup fails, explicitly labelled, topic-matched reference records are shown instead. Only public topic keywords are sent to Crossref; alloy compositions and experimental inputs are not sent.
